Sarah Jane is a Major Donor Fundraising consultant and senior interim who specialises in setting up major gift functions or accelerating growth in fledgling programmes. Her entrepreneurial and emotionally intelligent approach has provided her with a track record of delivering real results for charities for over ten years.
As the first dedicated philanthropy lead at The Scouts, Sarah Jane has personally solicited £1.4 million of major gifts from high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations. She has worked on some of the UK’s most high profile campaigns including Heads Together, where she recruited and stewarded 25 high value runners for their elite running ream, collectively raising over £350K for mental health charities at the Virgin Money London Marathon 2017.
Sarah Jane’s approach is rooted in a donor-first principle. As Head of Major Giving at Stonewall, Sarah Jane played a lead role in introducing and implementing effective relationship fundraising, increasing major giving by 50%. Her capital project experience includes the Imperial War Museums, where she led the Major Gifts team on the £30.5 million capital campaign for new Second World War and Holocaust Galleries.
Sarah Jane has a broad and in-depth experience of special events and her successful portfolio includes intimate pledge dinners with celebrity hosts, panel discussions, film screenings, curator presentations and auctions. Her background in theatre and performance give her an innate understanding of the importance of language and story-telling and the ability to get to the heart of any fundraising message.
She is an Associate with The Philanthropy Company and is studying towards an MA in Philanthropic Studies at the University of Kent.
